Since I did not have any kind of powder paint and was not particularly interested in getting some just for the purpose of this project I would be using my standard spray can enamel paints for these jig heads

The main reason for this is on the cast, compared to say a match reel the coils coming off the spool are a lot larger which in turn means more line being taken off the reel and as it is free running a lot quicker too, this will allow you to cast longer distances and cover much more water, because the marker is the rod that needs to cast the furthest the big pit reel makes it less tiring which is always a bonus

I remember when they stopped making that feature and my husband was so upset."could not agree more, if you've never fished with the castable trigger your missing out on easy fishing and the rear drag fighting system....if you have a big fish and you know it ,its an awesome feature, but this is the real reason why I like shimano(pics) and i know i had a T2000 somewhere around here but knife lake in the spring might have retired that reel
